Babies

Development is a process every child goes through. This process involves learning and mastering skills like sitting, talking. Learning to focus on objects

Toddler

Toddlers are curious and interested in the
world around them. They are usually
learning to walk and their determination
can be something to watch!

Older

This period of childhood is the time each
child begins to learn the skills needed to
become a self-sufficient person. Each child
has his or her own personality that
influences each step of learning and
development.

About Me

My name is Sally Groenewald I live in Streatham just behind Downsview school with my family. My husband and I have two children aged 7 and 3. If you are looking for a more personal setting with more focus on your child, I offer a Home-from-Home environment, but with the same learning opportunities offered by a Nursery or Pre-School.

I have lots of experience with children as I was a full-time nanny for 8 years before I became a mother. This has given me an insight into the daily demands and support parents are looking for in childcare, flexible hours, knowing your child is happy within their childcare setting, knowing they are having a wonderful day.

Come visit me

I always welcome parents to come and have a chat about their childcare requirements and to get a feel for my setting. It will give me the opportunity to introduce you and your little one to the children in my care and show you what we are learning. On your visit, I will also encourage your child to have a little play and see if they are comfortable in my home.

I offer

  • I follow the Early Years foundation program to keep on track with the children’s development.
  • I focus on each child’s likes and interests and encourage them if needed.
  • I am a very creative and energized person who enjoys spending time with little people.
  • I believe the more time and energy you invest in their development the more you will see them grow.
  • I keep a daily diary of how each child grows and develops which allows me to focus on each individual child’s needs.
  • I do like to keep the children interested in learning, so I make it fun with lots of colour, painting, baking and treasure hunts and lots of messy play.

Our community

We also go on outings for example to the local library for story time and other interesting places to work on the children's social skills as think that is very important.

There is also a lovely soft play area close by that I go to. I tend to take the children out to animal parks when the weather is bit warmer.

Streatham park is lovely and has just been redone and has something for all
ages.

Crystal Palace park is amazing and really big for the children to run
around in. They have the dinosaurs to learn about. There are also
animals for the children to look at.

Upper Norwood Library has a sing & a sign on Wednesday, which
teaches the child about sign language
