Curriculums

Reading/Writing

Babies - we will focus on books with pop outs and objects with different textures and colours for the babies to feel and will help with their sensors.

Toddlers - At this age, they can learn to turn the pages themselves and get more interactive with the books. They will slowly learn animal sounds and can follow their fingers over letters and numbers. They can try to repeat after you and shortly they will have a favourite book for you to read. At this point, they love to just scribble with the crayons and use different colours.

Older - The older children like to read to the little ones, sometimes they read and use
the puppets to show the actions. We practice writing our names and the ABC, make it fun
with different colours and make up stories to write about.

Math

Babies - learning to count on our fingers and with blocks.

Toddlers - learning to count on your fingers and adding up toys or blocks. We also sing along to number nursery rhymes. We also do puzzles with numbers on.

Older - learning to add and subtract also doing it in a fun way, such as cooking and adding how many spoons you would need. Another way is that we lay out toys and then count them as we pack away.

Reading/Writing

Babies - I like to make foot and handprints with babies and can make decorations and crafts out of them.

Toddlers - I let them scribble with crayons and create their own artwork. The little ones also love to just play with the paint using their fingers. We make lots of different crafts, Making figures out of play-doh, popsicle sticks, pipe cleaners, we sometimes base it on the season or an occasion.

Older - I have a variety of pictures that the children and colour in, also practice keeping in the lines. I like to set up crafts for them to make something based on the topic of the day. They explore different materials making figures out of play-doh, popsicle sticks, pipe cleaners, and how things stick together if they work or don’t work.
